As the next-gen Galaxy S line approaches its finish line, more and more rumors are piling up. So far, more or less details about the Samsung Galaxy S23's appearance have been leaked from the rumor mill, but there hasn't been much in the way of internal specs. That was until now.
A new Galaxy lineup report has surfaced online, revealing the battery, camera and CPU stats of the upcoming S23 trio, including the flagship Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. Here is a brief overview of the manufacturer's alleged plan.
Korean battery safety certification for the Galaxy S23 Plus surfaced about a month ago, but there was no mention of the actual capacity. Based on the latest developments, the plus variant will increase the battery capacity to 4700 mAh. In contrast, the S22+ only has a 4500mAh cell.
That change doesn't sound like much on paper, but pair it with a super-efficient next-generation Qualcomm chip; it converts to screen clocks for time. As for Samsung's new 5G phone, the Vanilla S23 may have a 3900mAh battery instead of the 3700mAh cell inside the parent S22. Compared to the S22 Ultra, the S23 Ultra can also increase the battery by 200 mAh, for a total of 5,000 mAh.
Camera stats for all three phones have also been revealed, predicting minor to major hardware improvements. The vanilla S23 and S23 Plus inherit most of the display components from their predecessors. Even so, Samsung will likely try to improve photos with clever software tricks, AI enhancements and pixel binning for better resolution.
On the other hand, the Ultra sibling is likely to feature excellent camera upgrades, given the rumors of a 200MP sensor under its primary lens. On the selfie camera front, the lower-priced siblings have likely bumped up the punch-hole camera from 10 to 12 MP.
