Xiaomi reportedly has a new pair of flagships ready to go. Although not confirmed, the successors to the Mi 12 series, the Mi 12T and 12T Pro, are likely to be officially unveiled next month, and before that, rumors have leaked all the details about their hardware manifesto, price and previews.
Based on the mentioned specifications, these devices are likely to act as the next flagship killers in the market. Let's see what Xiaomi has planned for these high-end phones.
Xiaomi 12T specifications are listed
The Pro and Baseline Xiaomi 12T phones are said to have the same kind of display; 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz and a full HD+ resolution (resolution slightly above 1080p). At its core, the phone will be powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 8100 Ultra SoC.
The Mi 12T packs a nicely sorted camera with a 108MP primary shooter assisted by an 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro sensor. The handset has a 20MP selfie camera inside the punch hole.
In addition, the 12T will have a 5000mAh battery, 8GB and 256GB storage/RAM, and the brand's top 120W fast charging. It could cost around USD 651 or PKR 144,000.
As already mentioned, both flagships have a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz and a resolution of Full HD+ (2712 × 1220 pixels). But the story changes when it comes to the processor. It has the market-leading Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset with a maximum clock speed of 3.2 GHz.
Coupled with LPDDR5 x 12GB RAM and UFS 3.1 x 256GB storage, it has the potential to be the next flagship killer. It seems like every smartphone company these days is looking for a 200MP camera for their flagships; the same will happen with the Mi 12T Pro.
Apart from that, the battery capacity, charging speed, selfie camera and connectivity will remain the same as the Mi 12T. As for the price, it can reach the $850 mark, which translates to around 188,000 in Pakistani rupees.
