Another affordable variant of the Vivo X80 family, the X80 lite 5G, has just been officially launched in the Czech Republic. As it turns out, the Lite-X80 is not a freshly invented device. It's actually just a rebadged Vivo V25 with a similar camera layout, frame design, color palette and internal specs. Let's see.
At the core of the Vivo X80 Lite 5G is the Dimesity 900 6nm chipset. It is energy efficient and uses an integrated Mali-G68 MC4 GPU for graphics and gaming. It combines 8GB of RAM with 256GB of storage — the capacity can be expanded using a shared SD Sim card slot.
For peripherals, the novelty packs an immersive 6.44-inch AMOLED panel. The refresh rate of 90 Hz and the brightness of 1300 nits are the highlights of this phone. The screen supports 100% DCI-P3 and 103% NTSC color gamut with HDR10+ and 1080p resolution. It also includes an under-screen fingerprint reader for security.
In terms of design, the X80 lite looks quite minimalistic. It implements Vivo's color changing technology to make the Sunrise Gold and Elegant black colors even more appealing. The new addition to Vivo's price catalog manages to pack a 4500mAh battery into a frame that's only 7.79mm thin. And it tops it off with a 44W power brick.
The optics of the X80 Lite include a high-quality 50MP selfie camera that supports autofocus, a 64MP primary camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro on the back. The X80 has portrait mode with bokeh effect, video vlog, live photos and night mode.
It runs Android 12 x FunTouch OS 12 out of the gate. Since the X80 Lite is a rebadged version of the already sold V25, it is unlikely to make a reappearance in Asian regions. Its price in the Czech Republic is CZK 10,999, which translates to almost PKR 105,000.
