Samsung Galaxy S23 to Resemble the S22 in Appearance, but with Widened Bezels

Samsung has been leading the way in smartphone design for so long with each successive S and Note series. Samsung's innovation has stagnated since the arrival of the Z Fold and Z Flip. Samsung's preferences seem to be shifting towards improving existing designs rather than creating new ones every year, much like Apple.

For the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 series, the Korean giant could improve and reuse the already well-suited frame from the S22 series. This will not come as a surprise; because they've already done it with their latest foldable duo, the Flip 4 and Fold 4 – the equivalent of the parent Flip 3 and Fold 3.

Not too long ago, details of the Galaxy S23's screen measurements and stats were leaked, along with hints that the exteriors would be identical to the S22. A newly tweeted leak about the S23 base reinforces previous theories.

Renowned Samsung leaker Ice Universe tweets that Samsung's latest 6.1" phone could have a slightly wider body and screen compared to the S22, leading to thicker bezels. According to the leaked image, all four bezels have been reduced by 0.15mm. the difference may be slight, but it's a step in improvement.

The S23 will also reportedly come with an elongated Samsung Galaxy S22 camera cover that melts into the top left corner of the device. In addition, the display will have a diagonal of 6.1 inches with a resolution of FHD+ (2430 x 1080p). Frame dimensions are likely to be 146.3 x 70.9 x 7.6mm (slightly wider than the S22 size at 146 x 70.6 x 7.6mm). Samsung also plans to skip Exynos variants altogether.
