OPPO has introduced a brand new set of premium smartphones. They call it the F21s Pro series, which includes two phones: the OPPO F21s Pro 5G and the F21s Pro 4G. It's basically an improved package of the F21 Pro launched in April. Although the phones look different, the specifications inside are strikingly similar.
From the get-go, the first striking thing about the F21s Pro range is its design. Oppo has highlighted the new Shinning Dawnlight Gold color for both phones, which, as the name suggests, makes the back plate shine at certain angles of reflection.
Both phones are identical except for the rear camera modules. The OPPO F21s Pro 4G has a protruding camera island with a single round flash, while the 5G variant has all lenses protruding directly from the housing.
The F21s Pro 5G has a Snapdragon 695 chipset under the hood, while the F21s Pro 4G is powered by a Snapdragon 680. Both are octa-core SoCs based on a 6nm node that link up to 8GB of memory and 128GB of storage capacity (similar RAM and ROM on both). The phones are charged using a 4500mAh battery that charges at 33 watts.
The pair feature identical AMOLED 6.43-inch FHD+ screens. But the 4G F21s Pro offers 90Hz refresh rate + 180Hz touch sample rate. The 5G model only peaks at 60 Hz. However, you can't tell the difference just by looking. Both have a punch hole in the upper right corner and a screen-to-body ratio of 90.8%.
Combined with 2 Orbit Lights, the F21s Pro 5G brings a 64MP primary, 2MP macro and 2MP mono cameras. The 4G variant only has a single Orbit flash, but adds an Oppo microlens sensor alongside the main 64MP camera.
Standard features include under-screen fingerprint readers, 3.5mm audio ports, and a version of the ColorOS 12.1 UI with a skin for Android 12. As of now, the F21s Pro series has only made its way to India. Based on Oppo's usual launch itinerary, phones may be added to OPPO's price catalog in Pakistan in the coming weeks. Converted to Pakistani price, the F21s Pro 4G and Pro 5G cost approximately ~ PKR 68,500 and ~ PKR 77,500 respectively.
