Apple iPhone 14 Pro & Pro Max Unveiled with Dynamic Island Cutout, LTPO Screens & A16 Bionic

After the event ends in September 2022, Apple has unboxed four new additions to the iPhone series; iPhone 14 Pro & Pro max, iPhone 14, and more importantly, iPhone 14 Plus, a surprising twist from the company - the end of the compact iPhone mini.

In a surprise move, Apple is renewing the iPhone Plus edition, making the Plus and iPhone 14 Pro Max the same size. In Apple parlance, "Plus" usually means a bigger battery and screen, like the iPhone 8 plus. At the front, a notch distinguishes the base and Pro iPhone 14.

After removing the notch, the main feature of this year's iPhone Pro series is the "Dynamic Island". It hides a distracting dual-hole cutout on the screen with a stylized UI-based notification panel. Without leaving the app, it allows the user to interact with sticky notifications such as voice recorder, timer and music player, giving the iPhone a whole new set of features.

This year, Apple Inc is adding an Always-On display option to Pro screens. Both are Super Retina XDR OLED assemblies with scratch-resistant ceramic glass and oleophobic coating protection.

Additionally, the Pro (6.1-inch) and Pro Max (6.7-inch) screens are "LTPO" 120Hz. It's the same technology that Samsung uses in its phones to increase or decrease the refresh rate depending on usage, saving the battery a few beats. The brightness of the screen can reach 2000 nits, which is the highest value ever recorded on a smartphone.

The long-suspected 48MP primary camera on the Pros is now officially confirmed by the authorities. With Apple's new Photonic Engine combined with a 65% larger sensor, the camera improves low-light performance by an incredible 49%. The front-facing true depth sensor also boosts selfie camera quality by 38% in low light.

Apple Inc has brought four new skin colors for the 14 Pro and Pro Max. In addition, the tech giant is bringing its new A16 Bionic silicon to the Pro models. As for the latest iPhone pricing and availability, the 14 Pro starts at $999, while the 14 Pro Max starts at $1,099. Pre-orders will be launched on September 9, and until the 16th purchase in the regions specified by the company.

Here are some of the new and improved features added to the iPhone 14 lineup. Emergency SOS via satellite, the holy grail of connectivity. MagSafe, Photonic engine and Action mode. Crash detection, where the iPhone uses sensors, cameras and a microphone to detect if the user has been involved in an accident and react accordingly. All iPhone 14s have 5G, HDR10 screens and IP68 protection against dust and water.
